Product trio workshop
Goal
To advocate and foster meaningful relationships among product, engineering
and product for effective colloboration
Joining a team of engineers who operated without the presence of a dedicated designer and were unfamiliar with the concept of product teams, I implemented and established streamlined processes to foster effective collaboration between designer, developer and product manager.
I onboarded three engineering teams consisting of around 30+ engineers within the Unity DevOps division in this workshop which was followed by group activities and a Q&A session.

Goal
To bring the internal knoweldge within the team to the table, challenge our assumptions and identify the gaps in our own knowledge about the solution area.
The Database development process is substantially a huge process involving multiple tools. As a part of the roadmap creation, we aimed to develop a cohesive feature set, avoiding disjointed elements that hinder the user's workflow.
In order to identify the gaps, we had to first visualise the complete workflow of a typical SQL developer’s end to end database development process to identify where our tools add value and what functionalities we currently offer. The workshop was loosely based on Jeff Patton's User Story Mapping.
Output
This story mapping exercise gave a great insight into our own knowledge of the solution area. And mainly it gave us pointers on what features are eminent to be built to support the existing ones and bring in a cohesive offering.
Goal
To influence user feedback led decisions across the team and to be always informed and have the self awareness of how the users are engaging with the product.
I believe everyone involved with the product should have a close understanding of their users, and as a product designer, it's my responsibility to sustain this relationship between the users and the product team. I have facilitated numerous research analysis sessions with engineers to generate insights at the end of every research cycle.
These sessions has enhanced team collaboration, removed unilateral decision-making, and aided the team in advancing toward business objectives efficiently.
Goal
To bring together all stakeholders, including product owners, developers, and project managers to get alignment on goals and expectations
I have conducted project kickoffs and detailed discovery sessions with cross functional team members to define the problem space to identify the problems worth solving. I have found it very useful to bring the team together at the beginning where everyone gets to understand each other's roles and what is expected off them.
At Redgate, our objective was to determine the upcoming focal areas for the business's growth and expansion for the Data protection and privacy solution space.
I delivered a presentation to the executive-level stakeholders, summarizing the findings from a day-long product discovery session which highlighted insights from user feedback, juxtaposed with current market demands. It identified gaps in the solution landscape that need to be addressed to cater to the data privacy concerns of database users.
